Many people who are new to our activities often ask us this question. Here’s the answer: AuburnHub is a non-profit organization led by members of AuburnLife a.k.a Auburn Baptist Church, and our mission is to help migrants and students integrate into Australian life in the most friendly and safe way possible.
We understand that one of the main barriers to integration is mastering the English language. That’s why, thanks to the volunteer efforts of our church members, we offer two days a week where we meet to practice and improve the English we need to navigate our daily lives. But it’s not just about language practice!
Our activities aim to build community and create meaningful connections where we can regularly meet, have fun, and share good times in a friendly, safe environment. Of course, being led by the church, we also provide Christian spaces for worship and spiritual growth. Our Sunday worship service at 5 PM is led by Pastor Robyn Song, followed by Bible study and counseling to nourish your spirit and empower you to face life’s challenges.
You don’t have to be a Christian to participate in our English or social activities. We respect differing beliefs. At AuburnHub, everyone is welcome to be part of our community, and if you wish to explore the love of Jesus, we have activities for that too.
Here’s a look back at last week’s memories: we celebrated Ella (from China), welcomed Andrés (from Colombia) to our English Circle, and joyfully received Helen (from China), a former member of our church, who is now back with us.
