Since April 14th, we’ve been hosting coffee meetings at our place. These gatherings are open to international students and migrants every Sunday at 3:00 PM. Our events are designed to help you improve your English communication skills, make friends, and become part of a welcoming and safe community.
What to Expect
Our meetings start with a friendly integration session where members and visitors come together over delicious coffee and snacks. After that, we have a 45-minute interactive talk where we discuss the challenges of migration and share practical solutions for issues like housing, employment, and cultural integration.
During these sessions, you’ll practice English, introduce yourself, and talk about your dreams, goals, and daily routines. We’ll also share tips on managing frustration, homesickness, and anxiety. If you’re not sure what homesickness is, we’ll explain it to you.
Spiritual Support and Worship Service
If you’re also looking for spiritual support or a Christian church to strengthen your faith and feed your spirit, after the coffee meeting, at 5:00 PM we have a weekly worship service. This service is led by Pastor Robyn Song, who shares powerful biblical teaching surrounded by prayers and worship songs. We use dynamic audiovisual tools to make it easy to understand for anyone who wants to participate, and everyone is invited. This worship service is conducted through Auburn Life Baptist Church. Of course, at AuburnHub, we respect all religious beliefs, and you don’t have to be a believer to participate in the social activities we lead for students and migrants.
