Jenny Leon is a Colombian teacher who came to Australia a year ago to learn English. Now, as a volunteer in our community, she is sharing her teaching skills to help us learn and improve our English with fun activities that make learning enjoyable.
Last week, we talked about customs and attractions from different countries while practicing the word “should.” We discussed why we should visit, eat, or experience different things. Last Sunday, we learned essential vocabulary for visiting the doctor, focusing on common symptoms and helpful phrases. All of this was done with group activities and lots of laughter.
Every person who joins our Auburn family is a treasure, and that’s what makes living in a community so special. We give and receive, share our talents, and even develop new skills in a friendly, welcoming environment.

This Sunday, as always, we’ll have a wonderful English practice session led by Jenny and supported by our lovely native speakers from 3 PM. Then, we’ll have a Worship Service at 5 PM, led by Pastor Robyn with an inspiring and powerful message. At 6 PM, we’ll enjoy conversation practice, chat, and connection time until 8 PM.
